DHAKA – Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has written to the US and European Union requesting support to assist in the vaccination of ready-made garment workers in Bangladesh. BGMEA also wrote to Shwapna Bhowmick, country manager of Marks and Spencer Bangladesh Regional Office, highlighting the matter.
BGMEA president Faruque Hassan sent separate letters to the US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl R Miller, EU Ambassador in Dhaka Rensje Teerink and M&S Country Director Shwapna Bhowmick made the call.
