WASHINGTON – Bangladesh has called for fairer prices for apparel in order to compensate garment factories which are investing in safety, the welfare of workers and cleaner production. The president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Faruque Hassan, made the call while addressing a roundtable titled organised by the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington.
