SYDNEY – Australian regulators will investigate a number of businesses, including fashion brands, following an internet sweep which found over half of websites reviewed made ‘concerning claims’ their sustainability practices.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) assessed 247 businesses during the sweep. 57 per cent were identified as making ‘vague’ or ‘unclear’ claims – with fashion in the top three transgressing sectors.
