HERZOGENAURACH – Pandemic-related supply chain shortages could cost Adidas €500m in sales this year but the German sportswear giant still saw sales grow by 55 per cent in the second quarter. Growth was achieved against the background of a difficult geo-political situation as well as extended lockdowns in the Asia-Pacific region, which in combination reduced currency-neutral revenue growth by a low-double-digit rate during the quarter.
