    AAFA head suggests no easy fixes to Xinjiang

    WASHINGTON – Cotton from Xinjiang is likely to continue to show up in clothing products all over the world despite US lawmakers moving to ban products from the Chinese province entering the country. That’s the warning of the president of the US’s leading apparel and footwear trade body.

    Stephen Lamar, president and CEO American Apparel & Footwear Association recently provided a post-testimony briefing following the recent House Ways and Means Committee Trade Subcommittee hearing on “Enforcing the Ban on Imports Produced by Forced Labor in Xinjiang.”
