DHAKA – Bangladesh Bank has opened a formal route for exporters to sell directly to overseas consumers via online marketplaces. The move marks a significant step into cross-border e-commerce for domestic exporters.
In a circular issued on 15 June, the central bank said exportable goods may now be listed on globally recognised online marketplaces and platforms accessible to foreign buyers.
