Shein claims €22m French fine is “manifestly disproportionate”

PARIS – French authorities have imposed fresh fines totalling €22.5m on Shein over consumer protection and environmental information breaches. The sanctions were announced by France’s Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control, the DGCCRF, following investigations into Shein’s French website in 2025.
