BERLIN – Temu and Shein are costing the German economy €2.4bn a year in lost added value, claims a study commissioned by German retail association HDE.
The study, carried out by IW Consult, says the two online platforms are also linked to the loss of more than 40,000 jobs in Germany and €429m in annual tax revenues.
