LONDON – A detailed analysis of fibre blends in T-shirts sold by Primark and H&M revealed the significant and ongoing challenges elastane poses to textile recycling. The peer-reviewed study analysed 519 garments and found 58 different fibre blends in use, 72 per cent of which contained elastane.
