LONDON – Three quarters of clothing items handed in to fashion brand take-back schemes were lost, destroyed or shipped to Africa, a new investigation has found. Researchers from the Changing Markets Foundation sewed 21 location trackers into good quality second-hand garments donated to in-store take-back schemes, and followed them for almost a year.
