TEXAS – A major new research project has produced the first harmonised global picture of textile recycling potential. The work estimates that between three and five million tonnes of recycled spinnable fibre could be produced annually by 2030.
The new Textile-to-Textile Recycled Fiber report was published by Textile Exchange in collaboration with Reverse Resources, Fashion for Good and TEXroad. It attempts to bring together global textile waste availability and actual recycling capacity in a single model.
