BRISBANE – Salvos Stores has opened what it says is Australia’s first automated textile sorting and decontamination facility. Salvos, the Australian charity retail arm of The Salvation Army, says the Brisbane facility is aimed at extracting more recyclable feedstock from used clothing and generating fresh income for social programmes.
