RALEIGH – Seaweed fibre pioneer, Keel Labs, whose clients include Stella McCartney and H&M Group’s &ll, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The North Carolina-based biomaterials start-up, formerly known as AlgiKnit, had raised US$13m in Series A funding in 2022 to support scale-up of its seaweed-based yarn production.
