Microplastic awareness raises sourcing questions

NORTH CAROLINA – Consumer awareness of microplastics is starting to influence apparel purchasing intent, according to new research from Cotton Incorporated.

The organisation said 41 per cent of US consumers are now aware of microplastics pollution, up from 17 per cent in 2017. It said this rising awareness is increasingly being connected to clothing and fibre choice.
