DHAKA – Janata Bank is set to auction six factories of Beximco Group, casting doubt on a rescue of one of Bangladesh’s biggest garment suppliers.
Within a day of a 20 November board meeting, Janata published notices to sell land, buildings, machinery and inventory tied to three Beximco-linked units at Beximco Industrial Park in Gazipur. Advertisements for three more factories expected to follow.
