LONDON – AMI is launching a new US textile manufacturing exhibition focused to run alongside its existing Textiles Recycling Expo USA in Charlotte next year.
The inaugural Textiles Manufacturing Expo will take place on April 7-8, 2027 at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina. Organiser AMI said the co-location is designed to bring together businesses operating across the full textile lifecycle, from fibre and yarn production through manufacturing and finishing to recycling.
The move follows the first Textiles Recycling Expo USA, held in Charlotte in April 2026, which attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 speakers. The addition of the manufacturing event will broaden the audience to include machinery suppliers, fibre and yarn producers, chemical and finishing companies, testing organisations and digital technology providers.
The new expo will cover textile manufacturing, finishing and printing machinery, fibres and yarns, dyes and chemicals, testing and quality assurance, automation and AI, smart manufacturing, software and R&D. It will also have a dedicated conference programme featuring keynote presentations, technical sessions and industry case studies.
“This new expo will provide a much-needed forum for the suppliers of raw materials and production technologies to connect with textile manufacturers to discuss the innovations and applications that will move the industry forward,” said Chrissy Winegarden, exhibition sales manager at AMI.
“Those manufacturers already attend Textiles Recycling Expo USA in large numbers, so we have a ready-made audience looking for new solutions.”
AMI said Charlotte was selected because of North Carolina’s long-established textile manufacturing base and the concentration of textile companies, research institutions and technology providers in the region.
The launch marks a further expansion of AMI’s presence in the textile sector. The company already organises Textiles Recycling Expo events in Europe and the US, alongside a wider portfolio of recycling and manufacturing exhibitions and conferences.
