HESSE – The German Red Cross (DRK) is withdrawing its remaining clothing collection banks from the Vogelsberg district of Hesse by the end of 2026. The charity is citing collapsing revenues and rising operating costs.
The withdrawals will affect the entire Vogelsberg district in the German state of Hesse, a largely rural area comprising numerous towns and villages, including Alsfeld, Lauterbach, Mücke and Homberg.
