BRUSSELS – A large-scale polycotton recycling plant could potentially deliver a 29 per cent ROI and repay its initial investment in just 3.3 years. This is according to new peer-reviewed research examining the economics of recycling blended textile waste.
The study models a European facility capable of processing 72,000 tonnes of post-consumer textile waste annually, comprising an equal mix of cotton and polyester.
