CLERMONT-FERRAND – Patagonia, PUMA and Salomon have announced the completion of a major textile recycling project with Carbios. The three tested whether the French company’s enzymatic recycling technology can provide polyester suitable for use in conventional apparel manufacturing.
The project brought the brands together with companies covering different stages of the European textile supply chain. This included polymer production and yarn spinning through to knitting, dyeing and garment manufacture.
