LONDON – A new ranking of major global fashion brands has found overproduction remains fashion’s most significant, yet hidden, climate problem. Only 9 per cent of brands disclose how many items they produce each year. Across the 17 that were transparent on this issue, output totals 4.3 billion products annually. From this subset, the industry is already producing more than one garment for every two people on the planet.
