HONG KONG – Eurofins Softlines and Leather has announced it has received approval from the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme for four of its laboratories in India, Spain, Italy and Turkey to conduct ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL) tests for Level 1, 2 and 3 conformance in its chemical gateway.
The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme’s helps brands and retailers in the textile, apparel, and footwear industries to implement chemical management best practice across the value chain. The goal is to move towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals through collaborative engagement, standard setting, and implementation.
ZDHC MRSL supports good chemical management by helping to avoid the use of hazardous substances during production and manufacturing. This solution facilitates the creation of end products that meet the requirements for cleaner outputs.
In addition to Eurofins | BLC in the UK, which has already been approved for Level 1, 2 and 3 in 2017, the new ZDHC MRSL V2.0 Level 1, 2 and 3 conformance approval has been given to Eurofins Softlines & Leather laboratories, located in key textiles, garment and leather manufacturing countries, namely, Gurgaon in India, Como in Italy, Alicante in Spain and Istanbul in Turkey.
The new capability complements the current ZDHC MRSL V2.0 Level 1 to Level 3 Conformance by Eurofins/Chem-MAP in the UK, the signature product by Eurofins/BLC that is one of the two Technical Competence Centres of Eurofins Softlines & Leather.
