SHEFFIELD – A leading Chinese apparel maker is to trial pioneering textile processing technology which cuts water use by up to 80 per cent as well as bringing major savings in energy and chemistry consumption and effluent production. Dongguan Crystal Knitting and Garment Co, a subsidiary of Crystal International Group – the world’s largest apparel maker – has signed a JDA with UK based Xeros Technology Group, which has developed polymer-based water saving technologies with multiple commercial applications.
