WASHINGTON – Manufacturers and importers of clothing into the US will have to tell regulators the amount of PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ contained in their products – dating back to 2011.
The onerous new regulations are part of a crackdown on PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, a class of about 15,000 compounds used in a range of industries.
