LONDON – Ted Baker, the British high-end fashion retailer that first opened in Scotland in 1988, is set to close all 46 of its high street stores permanently. This decision marks a significant loss for the high street as administrators were unable to devise a strategy to save the business.
The closures put the jobs of 975 employees at risk, with shutdowns scheduled throughout the month. This comes after Ted Baker entered administration earlier this year, leading to the closure of 15 stores at that time. Since then, administrators have been unable to find a solution to the company’s financial troubles.
