LOS ANGELES – A recycled alternative to polyester, produced from old clothing, matched the quality standards of its virgin counterpart in independent tests. US technology company, Ambercycle, commissioned the European Center for Innovative Textiles (CETI) to test cycora, a regenerated alternative to polyester made from end-of-life clothing. CETI, a leading research centre equipped with advanced melt spinning technology. found the new material met the spinnability standards of virgin materials while outperforming other recycled materials.
