CALIFORNIA – US outdoor brand Patagonia says it aims to become carbon positive, even as it grows its business. The company has used the ongoing climate week to outline its climate strategy, emphasising that its main focus is on supply chain impacts which, it says, account for 97 per cent of its carbon emission (a figure which offers a clear sense of perspective around apparel brand renewable energy initiatives focused on retail operations which, clearly, are only addressing a tiny fraction of carbon impacts).
