ILLINOIS – Natural Fiber Welding has announced a partnership with  Veshin Factory in China to expand the use of plastic-free, leather alternative, Mirum. Mirum is an all-natural material engineered for the footwear, fashion, automotive, and accessories markets. Its customizability means it can look like anything from leather to carbon fibre, making it a high-performance solution for designers and brands. Global brands including Alexander McQueen (MCQ), Pangaia, Bellroy, H&M, and Camper have adopted Mirum.

In partnership with Veshin Factory, NFW has added a team of expert designers and craftspeople to expand access to Mirum.

Through this collaboration, we are giving designers never-before-possible options for circular products and regenerative natural ingredient sourcing,” said Luke Haverhals, CEO at NFW. “Together we are making room for complete circularity and creating access for brands who want to be more conscious and sustainable.”

Founded by Joey Pringle and Hongliang Yu on the principles of sustainability and transparency, Veshin has become a leader in conscious design and manufacture, specialising in using next-generation alternatives to traditional animal leather. Finding design, manufacturing, and sourcing teams committed to making environmental and social change is incredibly difficult. In Veshin, however, NFW has found a team who are committed to shared values of quality, transparency, and sustainability. Together, Veshin and NFW’s partnership will allow brands traceability from raw ingredients and through manufacturing that consumers today demand.
