ICAC questions organic cotton claims

WASHINGTON – A new review from the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has questioned whether organic cotton’s environmental claims properly account for lower yields. ICAC warns that comparisons with conventional cotton can be misleading if they focus on inputs per hectare rather than impacts per kilogram of fibre.
