PHNOM PENH – Garment waste form global fashion brands, including Adidas, C&A, Gap, Lululemon, Primark and Reebok and Walmart, is being burnt to fuel brick kilns in Cambodia, a new investigation has found. The Cambodian League for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights (LICADHO) discovered pre-consumer garment waste at five operational and two closed brick factories from April to September 2023.
