STRASBOURG – A ban on misleading environmental claims on products has this week been adopted by the European Parliament. MEPs have voted heavily in favour of an EU directive targeting greenwashing which bans the use of misleading and vague environmental claims. The move represent the most significant change to the way that all goods – including fashion – are allowed to be marketed to EU consumers in the past half century.
