HONG KONG – Esquel Group, one of the apparel suppliers at the centre of new calls to boycott apparel and textiles from Xinjiang, is seeking to overturn US sanctions on one of its Xinjiang plants, Changji Esquel Textile Co. Shipping records obtained by the Financial Times show one of Esquel’s companies dispatched large orders to Western brands including Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers and Lacoste in the past month.
