DHAKA – More details have emerged about the recent show factory fire in Bangladesh which saw three people killed and several others injured. The illegal factory, owned by Uniworld Footwear Technology Limited and located in the Ashulia industrial area in Savar, lacked safety measures and a permit to operate.
Local officials have vowed to take legal action against the owner of the factory and promised financial compensation of BDT 25,000 (US$295) to the victims’ families.
