C&A delaying payment for orders until 2021

DÜSSELDORF – Many suppliers to European clothing retailer, C&A, will not receive payment for orders they have already completed for the business until well into 2021.

The business appeared to have altered its stance in recent weeks by reinstating reinstating millions of dollars’ worth of cancelled orders which were in-progress or complete.

However, research and anecdotal evidence from suppliers shows C&A is imposing huge delays to payments as it shores up its balance sheet.
