SYDNEY – Australia is set to become the first country in the world to launch a standard for compostable textiles. Proposals for the standard were developed by Stephanie Devine of the Very Good Bra who worked with sustainability experts and academics to create technical proposals for Standards Australia. The proposals were accepted on 21 March following a period of public consultation.
