HONG KONG – Global fashion chain Esprit has delivered a disappointing set of financial results while warning that the next two years will be a period of transition. For the six months to December 31, 2018, the business reported revenues of US$861.9m, representing a decline of 14.4 per cent in local currency terms. Commenting on the results, Anders Kristiansen, CEO of Esprit, said: “We have a great plan and are making the bold changes needed to restore Esprit to sustainable growth and profitability. The teams are working intensively on all initiatives but the brand re-positioning and changes in product will take time to become visible and attract customers back.”
