BRUSSELS – 11 European Governments have written a joint letter to the European Union calling for better consumer information about clothing and an end to fashion greenwashing. The letter, sent in response to the EU Strategy for Sustainable Textiles, also addresses issues such as textile recycling and hazardous chemicals in clothing.
The joint letter was written by leaders from the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain and Sweden.
